Taking on the alcohol industry Goliath

The alcohol industry is in a virtually invincible position when it applies for liquor licenses in NSW.

That’s according to emergency medicine surgeon, Dr John Crozier. He says the NSW system is broken, and needs significant reform to give equal weight to community objections.

Dr Crozier has experienced first-hand the difficulties of opposing a pub wanting a 24 hour liquor license – just down the road from his Liverpool home in Sydney’s west.
